"The young, adventurous and talented Highfield Ensemble recently made a fantastic recording of my choral setting of a passage from Whitman’s Song of Myself.  Sadly I couldn’t be there myself, but they were so sensitive to the score and detailed in their interpretation, that they didn’t seem to need my personal input at all.  I can’t wait to hear them do it live one day!" (George Holloway, Composer)
The Highfield Ensemble are a flexible group of conservatoire trained professional singers drawn from professional ensembles and cathedral choirs across the UK. Formed in 2010, they reached the final of the John Ireland Competition and have regularly perform for  recitals and corporate events including Selfridges, Deloitte, Frankfurt Christmas Market and the opening of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with HRH Prince of Wales and David Cameron.

In 2018/19 they have been collaborating with composer George Holloway, recording one of his Whitman settings as well as hosting a choral workshop for the Holloway Children's Choir of Tianjin in China.
